Oxford Almanack

The Oxford Almanack, has been published by Oxford University Press since 1674. The Almanack, is one of a series of broadsides commissioned from the Oxford University Press who originally held the national monopoly on publishing almanacs. The engravings are a sequence done by brilliant engravers such as, Basire, Vertue and the Rookers and James Basire,to more recently Michael Burghers who used imagery ranging from the emblematic to the topographic.J.M.W.Turner's first employment was drawing the pictures for engraving Large folio (52 x 39cm)......Any print will be reserved upon receiving an email and kept for a week to allow a cheque to arrive...
