Embarque do príncipe regente de Portugal, Dom João, e toda família real para o Brasil no cais de Belém./ A Representation of H. R. H. the Prince Regent of Portugal, and all the Royal Family, embarking at Belem Quay for Brazil, the 27th Nov. 1807
View of the port of Belem, where sailors wait on the royal barges on the left while women, men and children watch in consternation the arrival of Dom Joo, his family and their retinue in three carriages on the right. Sailing ships on the Tagus River, Belem Tower, and a village in the background Published London:  by Colnaghi,  in 1813 French edition by  by Henry l'Eveque English by Francisco Bartolozzi (1725-1815) In 1802 Bartolozzi had  left for Portugal as director of the royal engraving workshop, but his retirement plan was spoiled in 1807 by the French invasion and the retirement of the royal family to Brazil. He died in relative poverty in 1815 after the pic by  Nicolas Delariva. (Nicolas Louis Albert Delariva  French,1755-1818)*** Four copies known; the other of this Brirish edition by Colnaghi is in the British Library, An earlier copy is in Brazil and one in Portugal. This has been laid to board a long time ago a conservator could clean etc but suspect best left as is  £325 inc delivery also on S America page larger

 One of 270 etched and engraved plates after Liger, Dutailly, Moulinier, Vauzelle, the author and others the plate is from "Voyage Pittoresque et Historique de L"Espagne"  (4 volumes, 1807) Á Paris : de l imprimerie de Pierre Didot l ainé,., 1806  ie Napoleonic time . Laborde was made a Count of the Empire under Napoleon but at the Bourbon Restoration assumed the title of marquis de Laborde purchased by his father. Size 61 cm across very large so sent via Courier , Quality wash lined mounts £145 inc with early or original hand colour

dated 1783 Antique copper engraved print from 'the European Magazine, and London Review,'  which ran from 1808 to12 published and edited by James Asperne (1757 to1820) .It was in direct competition with the Gentleman's Magazine. Its founding editor, James Perry soon passed proprietorship to  Isaac Reed and his partners John Sewell and Daniel Braithwaite.£20

The magazine began publication with the January 1731 issue. Over time the magazine had various subtitles, including "monthly intelligencer" and "historical review". It restarted its volume numbering in 1868. It ceased publication in 1907. Size 12 x 21s+ cm  £20 RARE dated 1781
