Aquatints from "Fordna och närvarande Sverige"/'La Suede Ancienne et Moderne', , which was published 1817-1867 in 12 volumes containing 367 plates altogether. The first two volumes(Skåne and Östergötland) were executed entirely in aquatint, as were the early parts of the third and fourth volumes (Upland and Södermanland). When the original creator Ulric Thersner died in 1828 the aquatint technique were abandoned and lithography was used for the  rest of the work. Most engraved by  Carl Fredrik Akrell, (Swedish, 1779–1868) . All are full page without defects from the Skane/Skanie/Skania folio size  31 x 47.5 cm including margins.
