Very very rare as this was basically illustrations and descriptions of the medicinal plants of the London, Edinburgh and Dublin pharmacopoeias (plants classified as herbs due to their medicinal, ornamental and culinary uses).

The first edition was  1790-1795 by Woodville and the plates are identical but hand coloured  to stop confusion I have where available added the text page. William Woodville (1752–1805) was an English physician and botanist. Convinced by the work of Edward Jenner, he was among the first to promote vaccination. His four volume book on medical botany published between 1790 and 1794 with 300 UNCOLOURED illustrations of medicinal plants by James Sowerby was an important reference work for physicians in the nineteenth century with a second edition in 1810 followed by a revision in 1832 .
